Sounds like you got an "A" in the Nursing Process. For those who still what more assistance, this is a reminder about the Test study session to be held by Fern and myself on
Monday, September 29 at 5:00pm, prior to Pharm.
The skills lab will be open for assessment practice Tuesday and Wednesday 8-12.
You will also be practicing in class Tuesday. If your partner cannot make it, we will hve a dummy for you.

Is test study session in the skills lab???
Fazia, if they do the assessment test like they did last semester, we went in groups to the skills labs. Curtains were pulled around the beds with an instructer sitting with the assessment paper near the bed, watching and checking off each item. They only allowed so many students to go into the lab at a time, while the others practiced in another room. When you were done, you went out and told the next ones to come in.
A couple of the instructors graded a little harder than the others, but most everyone had a perfect or near perfect score.
The big thing is try to look relaxed and confident and pretend that they are not there. If you forget something, don't let on, just talk it through and make it look smooth. You can do it in any order that is comfortable for you, but don't go back and forth from the head to the feet and back again. Make it flow naturally as if you were with a patient who doesn't know anything about what you are doing or which order it is supposed to be done. When you think you are finished and the instructor says, "Is there anything else?" or "are you finished?" It means that you probably forgot something. Just take your time, rethink, keep talking and look busy while you are going through it in your mind. It'll come to you, and if it doesn't, it's ok too. You'll see.
It's fun and it turned out to be not as stressfull as we all thought it would be.
